The Robinair 65060 Enviro-Guard hoses for automotive R-134a meet all specifications for low permeation construction. Clearly marked for R-134a, they have 740 psi working pressure; 3700 psi burst pressure. Robinair premium refrigerant charging hoses are built for long life and dependability. A strong, six-sided crimp provides a reliable connection between the hose and barb, even at maximum pressure. The coupler nuts are deeply knurled for quick finger-tightening. Enviro-Guard hoses are ideal for high pressure applications, including R-410a systems. In-line ball valves control refrigerant flow, open and close in a quarter turn.
Hybrid vehicles are becoming more popular these days as the price of gasoline continues to rise. Back in 2001 there were a total of 4 hybrid models available, today in 2012 that number has increased to 41 models available and continues to grow. Looking at the numbers in 2009, there were over 1.4 million hybrids in the USA with better than 1 million of them using high voltage electric compressors. The number of hybrid vehicles continues to increase, present new challenges to service facilities providing A/C service work to both vehicles with traditional A/C systems and the high voltage electric compressor systems used on many hybrids. To address the differences in the A/C system on certain hybrids, in June 2010, the SAE published a revised version of the SAE J2788 standard that covers the operation of an A/C Recover, Recycle and Recharge (RRR) machine. The revised requirements state that a machine must not have on-board automatic/manual oil or dye injection and must be capable of charging refrigerant into a system with less than 0.1 percentages by weight of any residual oil. A machine must meet these new requirements to be suitable for servicing both vehicles with a high voltage electric compressor that uses POE oil and traditional PAG oil systems. Aside for the obvious there should be no automatic oil injection anywhere on the A/C RRR machine, another way to tell if a machine is certified as suitable for servicing vehicles that use high voltage electric compressors is to look...
Robinair 110V 50/60 Hz Oil-less Refrigerant Recovery Machine is designed for the recovery medium and high-pressure refrigerants including R-410A and automatically switches from liquid to vapor recovery. It provides continuous recovery without the need to change the hose or flip a switch and has a automatic high pressure cut-out switch for safety. Direct liquid recovery without damaging the compressor. Oil-less compressor allows rapid transfer of large amounts of liquid. Efficient fan and large condenser can handle high ambient temperatures. Multi-refrigerant capable with Self-Clearing feature which prevents cross-contamination. It includes Four 60 inch hoses with ball-valves included and 1/4 inch MFL fittings. It is CE approved.
